A DATE has been set for an inquest into the tragic death of schoolboy Daniel Mullinger.
Daniel, who was 11, died while he was on a school trip to Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk after a tree branch fell on him.
A post-mortem examination found Daniel, who lived in Stanway, died from head injuries.
Three other pupils, from Heathlands Church of England Primary School in West Bergholt, were also injured in the incident which happened last June.
Investigations have been made following Daniel's death and an inquest will be held at the Assembly House in Norwich on June 24 to 26.
A jury is due to sit to hear details of Daniel's death and will return a verdict.
Daniel was on the annual school trip to Aylmerton Field Study Centre near Cromer in Norfolk.
The pupils were doing a map-reading exercise in woods at Felbrigg Hall when the tree branch fell.
A spokesman for North Norfolk District Council said Health and Safety officers have investigated the accident.
