West Mersea: Police 'advice' given to car park pests

Advice was given to two drivers after residents reported four cars "roaring" around a car park in West Mersea.

Police were told that four vehicles, including a green Subaru, a small red Mini and a dark blue open-top vehicle, were speeding around the car park in Victoria Esplanade.

The caller reported that the vehicles were apparently reaching speeds of up to 50mph before slamming on their brakes. The drivers then lifted the bonnet, checked the engine and sped off again.

They were also playing loud music.

Officers went to the car park at about 7pm on Wednesday evening.

They managed to track down two of the vehicles and gave advice to the drivers.

Young hooligans!
Speaking as someone who never did anything remotely anti-social or questionable in the long forgotten days of my youth, I can safely say these young people should've been at home reading their bibles like we all used to do when we were there age!

Well done to the caller with the calibrated speed measuring device who stopped these people in their tracks and to the Gazzette for informing us of the evil in our midst.

Best quote has to be the "Small red Mini" is there such a thing as a big Mini?
